When I first started playing the demo in November of 2023, I wasn’t necessarily addicted to Minecraft, but I decided to get it for Christmas. When I first played the actual game, however, I was instantly addicted to it, so much so that I played it for almost 5 hours straight! I first played in creative mode, but I never actually played in Survival until January 2024, and I only played it on easy difficulty. Then I learned more about the game and how it works, and started earning achievements left and right, from Constructing a Furnace to using a campfire to get honey from bees nests.
My favorite part of the game is how wacky your spawn can be. I once spawned on top of a huge island that was only like barely 100 blocks wide. Another time I spawned next to two villages. That brings us to another favorite part, the structures. I love Villages, with the little cute homes, ocean ruins, a chance to brush sand and find things like emeralds, sniffer seeds (rarely) and wooden hoes? But most of all, the best structure is the Woodland Mansion, because it’s huge floors and secret rooms, and chicken statues!
I have played Java Edition a couple of times, but I have never actually beaten the game, and I have never beat the game, and spawned the wither only once anyway, so I’m not quite there yet.
