RAYE’s dark and eerie vibe sort of gets me on this track, and how the intro starts out with a siren made me want to listen to the rest of it, because, you know, that’s intriguing. RAYE’s lyrics are complex and need annotating, but still clever, nonetheless. RAYE’s verse is better than 070 Shake’s verse, as the lyrics are just better in RAYE’s, and she sounds more intriguing. Still, 070 Shake did pretty well for her first major appearance. As we get into modern pop here, this is one of the songs from 2023 that I would give over and 8 (out of 10) too.
