Weeping Willow (Chapter 7) – Hunger Games Fan Fiction

Wow! I can’t believe we are on our last chapter! Although I will probably post the epilogue tomorrow, this will be our last official chapter! This one is my favorite, due to an extreme plot twist at the end, and the last few scenes are some of my favorites. I don’t want to spoil to much of the story, but I just love the chapter. It also goes along very well with the movie, until the end, where I change up the story a bit. Still the same outcome! Just make sure to watch the movie once you finish this chapter. It should be available on this post (and other chapters) from an embed. I would like to say one last thanks to Abundant House Films for inspiring me to create this book. Otherwise, I would like to thank you all for supporting my series!

Make sure to subscribe, so you can be able to view the epilogue that will come out Tomorrow (Thursday, June 26)

Story!

“Wait”, says Ares, trying to stop Ti from killing her immediately. He had a plan, not just a plan to turn the tide of the games, but a plan to ultimately win. With Ti pinning Sandra down, he now has a valuable possession, something that he can use, to his advantage.

As Ares moves closer, Ti looses her grip on her and eventually let’s go of her, allowing Ares to assume full control.

“You’re with the sevens”, says Ares, knowing that she allied with them before.

“Yeah, but not anymore”, said Sandra. Sandra overheard everything Tristan and Willow talked about, and know, knowing that they were going to leave her, decided to run away from them, hoping to grab some of the careers supplies.

“But you know where they are”, said Ares

Now this brings out his plan to win. He was going to use Sandra to make sure he found the sevens, killed them with Ti, and then ultimately kill Ti in the long run, to win, and bring the upmost pride to his district.

Sandra then leads Ares and Ti towards them, knowing that if they find them, she will be kept alive, more-so as a useful tool, not as an ally, or even close to a friend.

Sandra eventually leads them to where they camped out. Both are still sleeping, unaware of the dangers ahead.

“How much further”, asks Ares, childishly, not having any patience with her.

“Their just down there”, says Sandra, pointing South, or where Tristan and Willow have camped out.

Ti then gave a look towards Ares, basically saying that “We should kill her, she’s no use”. Ares registers it, and decides to go with the plan.
Ares puts his axe into the tree, to make sure he has both of his hands to work with. Sandra finally knows what he’s doing, but it’s too late. Ares covers her mouth, snaps her neck, and the cannon sounds.

Luckily, this wakes up both Tristan and Willow, who are confused about why they heard a cannon.

“Where’s Sandra”, Willow asks.

Tristan, finally realizing the situation, knows that they have to go. He knows that cannon was probably Sandra. And he knows the careers are on the move. What he doesn’t know is that the careers are right on their trail.

“We need to go!”, says Tristan immediately.

An arrow flies past them, and goes into a tree. They both assume their hiding places, then when Tristan looks, Ti tries to shoot an arrow, but he narrowly dodges it.

“Run”, he says to Willow, trying to keep her safe.
Willow runs, but then he notices Ti is running after her as well. Tristan then gets up and tries to save her, but Ares smacks into him, hard. Tristan gets up momentarily, and manages to grab his knife. Both of them get into a fight, but Ares manages to fight back, and deflects all of his shots.

Meanwhile, Ti is still chasing after Willow. Willow is chased for a few minutes, until Ti finally catches up to her, and tries to stab an arrow into her. Willow successfully retaliates, and stabs a knife into her hand. Ti pulls it out, however, and smashes into her again.

Unlucky for her, Willow’s knife stabs into her chest, killing her. She takes one final gasp, looking at her bloody chest and hands, and the cannon sounds.

Both Tristan and Ares stop in the middle of fighting, thinking that cannon was each of their allies death. Ares takes advantage of the moment, however, and smashes into Tristan, successfully pinning him up against an oak tree.
Ares then throws his axe into the tree, narrowly avoiding Tristan’s head. Ares then comes over, and pulls his axe out, not happy with his unsuccessful behead.

“It was always going to end like this”, says Ares, punching him in the gut, causing Tristan to nearly collapse.

“Ladies and Gentleman”, Ares says, in a cocky voice, “Today, a hero’s about to be made. Only two are left, and I was always going to win”. He is still unaware of Willow’s presence.

He was about to kill him, when Willow dramatically appears, saying “Stop”.

Tristan tells her to get out, but Willow doesn’t, and tries to stick up for herself. “Well, well, well”, Ares says, as if she is not any obstacle.

“The knife, put it down”, she says, trying to stop Ares from killing Tristan, although Ares doesn’t care.

Willow distracts him with an arrow shooting slightly to the right of Ares head, allowing Tristan to grab his knife and attack him. However, Ares realizes this, and stabs Willow. In the stomach.

It as if the words are in Tristan’s head. He can’t believe what happened. She was supposed to go home.

Ares and Tristan engage in fight again. However, after a few minutes, Ares knocks Tristan down, and kicks him in the gut. Willow is still laying their, in pain. Tristan tries to get up, and does, but Ares immediately puts him in a headlock.

“Poor little girl. Couldn’t save her. Why keep fighting”, Ares says cockily.

Tristan then, with all of his strength, retaliates, and stabs Ares with his own axe, in the neck, killing him. Tristan watches him as he dies, but his focus quickly shifts on Willow.

Tristan looks at Willow’s wound, and realizes it’s to big to save. He then decides to grab her locket.
He rushes to Ares’s dead body, and grabs the locket from his hand. He stares at it, then returns to Willow. He then places it in Willow’s hands. She then mouths “Thanks”, before she takes her last breath. The cannon sounds. Willow is dead.

Tristan finally realizes the situation. Ares was right. Only one can win.
