A Tour Of Walnut Hill Iowa – The General Store

Welcome back to another post on The Forest of Legends, and as I promised, we will be continuing with “A tour of Walnut Hill Iowa”. Today’s location is the General Store! Almost every town has one, but this one I found plenty of rare things, and odd things, like what looked liked glass ducks. I didn’t see much food there (since it’s perishable), and mostly little toys or sculptures, plus some furniture. Without further ado, let’s take a deep dive into Walnut Hill’s general store looks like.

The Outside

From the outside, it appears that it’s a yellow building, with a two-door entrance, with large windows on the first floor. There is also a second floor, which has a deck. I did not see the upstairs, but I presume it’s where the shopkeepers live. There could be an attic, since there is a small window up top. But it could just be decoration of some sort. Well, that’s enough about the slightly boring outside, let’s move on to what’s in the store!

The Inside

Sorry for the blurry picture!

Some stuff I saw inside the store was tables and chairs, but not that many. Some bells and clay pots, cards, and in the picture some toys. Some toys include these glass ducks (which might just be for decoration), dominoes, and little wooden toys (not pictured). I also saw plenty of books, some clocks, which included a miniature grandfather clock which was cool, and clothing hanging near both. I did get a picture of them, but it’s too blurry to show you, otherwise it would be here with the picture of the glass ducks.
