The Record highs and lows of the world

Welcome back to another post on The Forest of Legends! Today’s discussion is about how temperatures vary across the world. For example, the lowest recorded temperature in Canada is under -70 degrees Celsius, but the lowest recorded temperature in Norway is -51 degrees Celsius! That is a lot of change for countries at similar latitude levels!

Highest recorded temps

Between Ireland and Russia, which are at similar latitudes (although Russia is bigger), Ireland has a low high-record temperature, while Russia’s is much higher, with it’s range in between 110 and 115 degrees Fahrenheit. I was surprised on how high Iran’s was, reaching over 150 degrees Fahrenheit. Also, even though the record is outdated, I included the 136 degree record high in Lybia from 1922.

Coldest Record Temps

Meanwhile, for the coldest record temps, we can tell the difference even more, since Russia is below -80 Fahrenheit, while the United Kingdoms is between -11 and -20 Fahrenheit. For an even bigger comparison, Ireland’s is almost above 0 degrees! That’s over an 80 degree difference!
